We were delighted with the artistic and the financial outcome
of That's So Retro with Kurt Anderson. Attendance beat our goal and those who attended talked about the concert for
days. I overheard someone say that they'll remember this concert forever because its the night that the Erie
Philharmonic played the theme from the Flintstones live! Eric

Members of the Danbury Symphony Orchestra had a lot of fun when Kurt Anderson took the baton in a cleverly arranged program
of his own design, "Retro Pops." Leading the orchestra in music composed by his late father, Leroy Anderson, as
well as other classic tunes from the 50s and 60s, Kurt proved to be knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The audience and orchestra
loved every minute of it. Enhancing an already great program was Becca, his charming and talented wife, singing songs of a
bygone era. Standing ovations are always welcome and this audience rose to its feet the moment the last note was played.
All of us went away humming tunes we thought we had long forgotten. Thanks, Kurt, for giving us such a memorable evening.

Kurt Anderson has a flair for communicating and a knowledge of pop culture from the 30s to 60s that is refreshing. His
programming is innovative, and his use of video and slides add an extra dimension. As the son of one of America's great composers,
he add a special immediacy and understanding to father's works.

Kurt Anderson not only handled the baton like a trouper for all the selections, but he especially brought
great insight and humor to his father’s wonderful works. (with the Greater Bridgeport Symphony Orchestra)

Kurt Anderson's appearance with our Symphony in 2003 was a festive and successful affair: the large audience thoroughly enjoyed
the wonderful music of his father, and were able to take home a memory with a CD or video. The whole concert was a charm from
beginning to end with stories, video, and moments of musical antics. Mr. Anderson's conducting of the music brought touching
emotion and real connection with both the musicians and audience, ending with a standing ovation. We highly recommend this
program!

It is with great delight we give high praise for our recent experience with Kurt Anderson. His appearance made our Pops
concert sparkle. Preparing the program was a real joy for our musicians--(who could not smile at The Waltzing Cat?!!). Kurt
stepped onto the podium at dress rehearsal as an unknown visitor, quickly winning our respect by his interpretation of his
father's mastery. There is no hesitation to recommend both an all-Anderson program and Kurt Anderson as conductor. (March
